Bring on the Madness - March Update

February completed many different projects and are looking forward to March - HELLOOOOOO MARCH MADNESS (if you know, you know).  Anyways… We spent some time on Pink Shirt Day creating origami hearts with buddy classes and writing kindness pledges. March also marks our official school opening.  We are gearing up for parent teacher conferences and a much deserved Spring Break.

We have had some fun times wrapping up different units in January and are looking forward to some invigorating new projects and activities in February. This last week, there was an amazing assembly where we were introduced to our elder - Grandma Faye HeavyShield and her daughter Hali HeavyShield.

Happy Festivus - December Update

November was a fun filled month with many things on the go!  Students loved their traditional Indian food experience and we had our first assembly at Lakeshore School on Remembrance Day, which was beautiful and thoughtful. Our clubs are up and running, students are buzzing around the school. Thank you to all the parents who came out during parent teacher interviews, it was a pleasure to meet you all. Welcome to Winter - November Update

We forged through moving into our new building and Halloween on a Monday!  We were excited to open the doors to Lakeshore School and finally welcome you to our new building.  The grade 5 team would also like to welcome 4 student teachers from St. Mary’s University: Kyle Smith (paired with Mrs. Quraishi), Jessie Olson (paired with Mr. Polsky), Christine Eastham (paired with Ms. Shoults), and Riley MacDonald (paired with Ms. Hamilton). They will be with us till mid-December and are very keen and excited to work with the grade 5s.  Here’s what’s coming in November!

Great Beginnings - October Update

We did it! We survived the first month! September has been a great month with many events and activities. Not only that but NHL hockey is back, the Blue Jays are in the playoffs and the Giants have actually won a football game - incredible! How amazing is September :) Seriously though, thank you all for joining us at the open house two weeks ago. It was a great success and so fantastic to meet our parent community.
